These are the Terms Of Use for Familygraveyard.net and all the services offered on the site.
The age restriction on Familygraveyard.net is 15 years of age. When activating an account, and therefore accepting these terms of use, the
user also verifies that s/he is over 15 years of age. Minors should also ask the permission of their parents and/or legal guardians before
activating their account.
Some of the content on the website may be unsuitable to minors. Parents and guardians of minors using the website are encouraged to stay aware
of the browsing habits of their children. Familygraveyard.net is not the educator and mentor of minors, this is the job of the parents and
guardians: we're not here to raise your kids, you are.
Users are encouraged to use common sense and adhere to common netiquette when using the services offered by the site. Excess usage of smilies,
writing in all caps, using leetspeek in excess, repeatedly insulting other users or spamming will not be looked upon kindly, and may result
in punitive measures. NSFW (not safe for work) material should only be posted in the appropriate section of the forums.
In a nutshell, act sensibly and we'll all get along just fine. Act dumb, and we'll come down upon you like the wrath of god!
Familygraveyard.net believes in freedom of speech and free expression of ideas and opinions, no matter how controversial and/or unconventional
and questionable they may be. Therefore, very little censorship will be excercised on the site, and users are allowed to express themselves
and their ideas freely. However, users shall keep in mind that Familygraveyard.net will not accept responsibility for any user generated
content, and that the users themselves will bear any and all possible consequences of their actions.
With freedom comes responsibility: if you're allowed to speak your mind, you may be held accountable for what you say. Keep that in mind.
The administration and moderation team review the content on the website and, whenever they deem it necessary, take whatever measures are deemed necessary to resolve problem situations. These measures may include, but are not limited to user banning, post deletion, changing a post or other user generated content, account deletion and changes to a users' profile and/or personal information in the profile. No warning prior to moderation/punitive actions is required; any warnings and/or notification prior to such actions are entirely voluntary on behalf of the administrators or moderators. The administrators and moderators of Familygraveyard.net act as the authority of Familygraveyard.net and as such, their decisions and actions should be respected. All content on the website is copyrighted and may not be reproduced or used without permission from respective authors. This applies also to user generated content. See User Generated Content below.
All user generated content remains the property of the user and not Familygraveyard.net. The user will also retain all responsibility for the content they have generated. Familygraveyard.net will not accept any responsibility for any user generated content. Any off-site reproduction of any and all user generated content on Familygraveyard.net is forbidden without permission from the users themselves. Familygraveyard.net and its administration reserves the right to reproduce user generated content within the site (in essence, this means that the administration reserves the right to quote and reproduce user generated text on, for example, the blog and the frontpage, or re-post links and images posted by users).
Familygraveyard.net is run, owned and financed by a private person and is as such not a publicly owned service. As such, the owner of the site retains the right to introduce and enforce rules. The users are asked to bear this in mind. One should not fool themselves into believing that Familygraveyard.net is a public service or a democratically governed entity where a regular user can in any significant way affect the policy or decision-making process of the website.
Apart from the personal information stored in the user profile, Familygraveyard.net may store some personal information in conjunction with using the services offered on the site. No information stored on the website will be delivered to any third parties or shared publicly: only the administrators and with certain limitations, the moderators, will have access to this information.
The Terms Of Use are subject to change without prior notice. Users will be notified of updates and changes to the Terms Of Use on the Family Graveyard forums. If at any time the Terms Of Use become unacceptable to a user, he or she should contact the administration for account deletion. An activated account is considered a binding acceptance of the Terms Of Use. However, wherever applicable, these Terms Of Use apply also to non-registered users.
